This is the one we all do, right? We plan financially for our futures by investing, saving budgeting or all of the above. We deprive ourselves of that new car, new house, big boat, new motorcycle, new furniture, etc, etc, etc. We do all this because we’re good financial planners and we want to plan for that rainy day. Actually, financial planning is a smart idea. If done right, we may be able to plan for our financial future and still have a little fun today.

Probably the most important step, and certainly the step you should take first, is to figure out how much you can afford to spend. If you haven’t set up a budget that shows you how much you’re spending on everyday things, now is the time to do it.

It’s hard to get rich quickly but it is easy to get rich slowly. The greatest use of money is to secure freedom; freedom from want, from dependence, from boredom. Your goal is to provide that freedom for yourself and your family. Eventually, you will spread that “freedom” and assist others to reach that level.

Now that you have begun to track your spending and are making money through the “Multiple Methods of Making Money” outlined in the previous chapter, don’t forget the basics. Save 10% in a savings account, 10% investing (real estate and business ventures) and 10% for charity. The charity element is ESSENTIAL! The pure gratification and ability to make a difference in this world through monetary contributions and volunteering your services to help others is indescribable and life changing. Remember, you can get everything in life you want if you help others get what they want.

Continue to track your progress with your financial statement. This will be your progress report for the rest of your life…so make sure it is a FRIENDLY report with many HAPPY assets!

List the value of your assets on one side of the paper and the total of what you owe (your liabilities) on the other side. You subtract one from the other and that is how you come up with your net worth.

It is not important how much or little you have, it is important that you keep track!

Benefits of keeping track:

1. Important for taxes.

2. Builds your own sense of self worth.

3. It keeps you on track toward your financial goals - see how far you have come.

4. Helps you resist major purchases that would take away from your future financial independence.

Ah, the glamour of backpacking through Europe. Of course, the glamour comes with a price as I found in Siena, Italy.

Siena

Siena is located an hour or so outside of Florence, Italy. My handy dandy guidebook suggested it was a side trip that just had to be made. A medieval structure located behind protective walls on the top of a hill. The central area was generally closed off to cars and it was a taste of true Italy. Who was I to argue?

As I sat on the train, I check my backpack for any excess weight. I had already discarded or sent home unnecessary items and was feeling pretty light on my feet. Next thing I knew, the train had stopped and I was standing on flat road next to a rolling hill covered in trees and homes. Siena proper was at the top.

The thing about rolling hills with lots of foliage is they are simply evil. You can never get a grasp on how far it is to the top. You keep thinking the top appears to be a few hundred feet in front of you until you reach it. Then you discover it is just a dip before another upward section. The hill up to Siena is just such a rolling hill. Throw in a road that twists all over the hill like a drunken sailor on leave, and you’ll never scoff at a moped again.

Getting in touch with my inner mule, I began to climb and tame the great beast. As I trudged along, I thought of all the great people that must of walked up the same hill throughout history. As I stood in the shade panting, I thought all of those great people probably hitched a ride instead of walking like me.

After thirty-five minutes or so, I was seriously starting to think about hitching a ride. Of course, this would mean admitting defeat. The battle between my genetic male stubbornness and “this sucks” attitude was intense. Like a mule, I kept going. Five bends, three dips that I could have sworn were the top.

Just as I was giving in…a wall. A really big wall. I passed it and suddenly was in a large parking lot area with tourist buses. Hands on knees, shirt soaking, I tried to maintain my dignity as the tourist looked at me like I was insane. Did that moron walk up here? One even took a picture!

After composing myself…err, getting my breath back, I booked a room in a little hotel. The young lady working the desk seemed hesitant, but I made some comment about it being a long way up from the valley. She started giggling and I had the room.

I showered and went looking for trouble. Well, trouble that was on a flat surface. In the town centre, I stumbled upon a small caf© selling Mexican beer. Being from San Diego, this was nirvana. My inner mule was quickly appeased and the hill of death forgotten.

Reflecting on my climb from a historical perspective, I learned a good lesson. It is far better to be behind the wall than trying to attack it!

The business of automotive detailing is alive and well and there is no doubt about that. Americans love their cars and some more than their own kids or family. Generally one’s car is the second largest investment they will make and they will wish to keep it up and protect it. What a better way than to protect the paint and have it professionally cleaned and detailed? Well as a retired businessman of 27 years in the industry that works for me and I am perfectly okay with that concept and have learned a lot about customer service.

Customer service is essential in the auto detailing business and it starts before the job, as you must explain to the customer what you can and cannot do to help their car. Some times large scratches down to the metal cannot be repaired by simple detailing and that must be explained to eliminate false expectations. In auto detailing you want to over deliver on expectations and thus continue to get great referrals. This is why the pre-service customer service is so vitally important, but what about the post-service customer service?

Well after the service it is important to walk around the car with the customer and show them every thing you had cleaned and how it was done. Additionally it is important to leave a little something such as a rose or a mint on console for the customer with a little car thanking them, with a little notation telling them that any future referrals from them will lead to a discount on future services. Consider all this in 2006.

This Stuffs really works: How Vision and Beliefs create your business

Do you ever get fired up with a great idea, but take no action?

If you don’t believe that it is possible to make large amounts of money then you won’t take the required action that will deliver the results

You are not alone, this is common because people have great ideas but they do not line up with their beliefs of what they are capable of, what will work and what is good.

Believe in yourself and what you want to do. Go and find the skills that you need to make it happen, find a mentor if possible, take action. Measure the results and feed the results back in and keep continually improving

Not everything will work for you and that is fine. Just keep holding your vision of what you want to achieve and just keep moving towards it.

You need to get out there and try things and see if they work for you, if they produce results then keep using them, no results then stop using them

Have you even had a doubt if you have what it takes to achieve what you want, congratulations, you are in good company, most of the world.

Relax and focus on what you want, ideas and resources will come.

The important thing for you to do is to absorb ideas and filter out the ones that seem attractive to you. If they seem attractive, then they probably line up with your beliefs and also what you want to achieve. After you pick out the ideas then try them out, take some actions and measure the results.

You don’t have to have an original idea just a good one and try it out, see if it works for you. You don’t have to be lucky, a genius, or anything special.

Find somebody who knows how to do what you want to achieve, and do what they do. Believe that it will work and you will align yourself with taking the right actions that will deliver the results that you want.

Simple things applied are a lot more powerful that something that is never applied

Kaizen: the process of continuous improvement took the Japanese industries to a large market share by continuously applying small changes and measuring the results.

Albert Einstein commented that if you studied anything for 10 Mins a day in one year you would be an expert. Study those ideas and apply them one by one and see if they work for you.

Keep the big picture of what you want and focus upon it and you will find the resources to keep you achieve that vision.

You will make mistakes, you will try things that do not work but as long as you hold your vision and move steadily towards it, it will happen.

Actions delivers results, it does not have to be perfect action day one, just try it and see what results you get, look around for how other people are doing it, make changes and measure the results.

You will be amazed at what results you can get by consistently focusing on what you want, taking consistent inspired actions and seeing what results you are getting.

If you are getting the results that you want then keep doing it and gradually make improvements.

If you are not getting the results that you want than look for other ways to do things. Look at what beliefs that you may have that are conflicting with what you consciously say that you want to achieve.

Be flexible enough to change what you are thinking or doing until you start to deliver the results that you want

Reading the stats for the purposes of sports betting is a great idea for those who want to make a good choice and earn some money. A player’s stats, or statistics, include the player’s strengths, weaknesses, how they are going in the current season and how they have performed in previous seasons. If a player is new to professional or college sports, their stats will indicate that. Knowing how well or how poorly a player performs can mean much when betting on their team.

If the team has a few bad players, then chances are they will not win the game one is thinking of betting on. This of course, depends on the spread, which is the number of points a team has to score from the anticipated score of the game. A typical spread is ten or fifteen points. Even if a team loses, if the person who bet on them is within the spread, they will not win any money, but they do not lose as much either. This is why stats are an important indication of how the team will score overall. If a team has several great players, but the spread is too narrow, perhaps not betting on the team is a good idea. If a team does better than the spread, they will not lose money, but they won’t win either.

Stats are also fun to check out every now and again. Many people have players that they like for certain skills or for their personalities. They like to know how the player is doing during the season. Stats can be found in the newspaper or online. Since online betting is used so often, it is easy to check out the stats on a team and decide which team to bet on and then bet on them. It takes less time and energy.

Check us out for more information on Sports Betting Statistics and Systems.

There are compelling reasons for you to consider an online CRM (Customer Relationship Management) solution: You can access your business 24×7 from anywhere with an internet connection; the price sounds right and online applications are quick to deploy and maintain.
The growing popularity of online software applications is not abatting, and online CRM solutions are leading this trend.

But online software applications, sometimes referred to as hosted, OnDemand, SaaS (software as a service), web based applications, are not suitable for everybody.

Firstly you need bandwidth - lots of it. If you don’t have access to broadband internet, hit the ‘back’ button now, don’t bother reading any further and remove any online CRM applications from your wishlist. Bandwidth constraints are sure to frustrate and deter your users, setting back your CRM initiative considerably.

CRM applications are often used real-time with your client on the other end of the phone, waiting as you navigate your way around the system. It defeats its purpose if this is unbearably slow. Simulate a few typical real-world situations when evaluating the software

As many businesses look to reduce their overheads, the one obvious area for cutting costs is the real estate that accomodates the sales department. These guys should be on the road selling, not sitting behind a PC or hanging around the water cooler.

There are a few questions you need to ask yourself, and of your potential vendor, before you even get to looking at feature specifics:

*Can you import your data easily? Your existing records that currently reside in Excel; your imminently redundant contact manager, accounting system or other database - can they be imported/converted to the online CRM solution?

*How customizable is this software? Can you create your own user-defined fields and reports?

*Do you to need to synchronize your data with other software or devices, like MS Outlook, or your Palm? If so, does this online CRM support this?

*As the amount of data your database needs on their server will affect your monthly premiums, get some indication of projected costs. How much disk space does each record typically take up and how many records do you think your database will grow to in 2 or 4 years?

*How comprehensively can you retrieve your data from their server?

*Can you work their online CRM in offline mode as well, or is your business expected to grind to a halt every time the net is down? Do they offer an in-house version that you can run on your own server and PC’s?

*What is the minimum duration of their contracts? Will you be locked into a one year agreement whether you like it or not?

*How is your data backed up, and how often?

*Can you maintain your own copies of your database?

*How reliable are their servers? Are they housed in a datacenter? What sort of uptime can you expect?

*What are their security policies? How secure is your data from prying eyes and hackers, and can you prevent your own users from downloading/exporting the data from the system?

*How, and how frequently, do you back up the data?

*What are your client side system requirements? What hardware configurations, operating system and versions are required of you?

*How long has their business been in existence, and can they furnish you with reference sites?

Fortunately online CRM solutions are relatively quick and easy to deploy and test so you can arrive at a decision fairly painlessly.

Once you have satisified yourself that the proposed online CRM solution meets these basic requirements, you can start matching their feature sets to yours.
