There are so many different lists claiming to reveal the telltale signs of a cheating spouse that it is hard to know what to believe. More importantly, the problem with providing such lists is that any specific behavior is always open to more than one interpretation. For instance, does your spouse’s sudden wardrobe change indicate a cheating heart or the desire to get the next promotion at work? In reality, the real reason underlying any behavior is usually difficult to determine.

And to make matters more complicated, the lists that have been produced typically employ a shot-gun approach. That is, identify every possible “sign of cheating” that could exist and create a laundry list of cues. Such lists tend to overwhelm a suspicious spouse, leaving him or her in a more heightened state of anxiety.

What is often missing from these lists is some thought or consideration about how our intimate relationships work. With a little work, it is possible to draw upon research on romantic relationships and create different lists of cues all tailored to different circumstances. In other words, based on what we know about relational dynamics, what types of cues are more likely to emerge in different types of relationships? For example, what types of cues are likely to emerge when you spouse is having an emotional affair versus when you spouse is considering leaving you?

By analyzing the cues that have been identified we have created five different sets of cues that are likely to emerge in different types of situations.

Sexual Infidelity Only - No emotional Involvement

A few possible warning signs:

  • Unexplained discovery or loss of clothing items

  • Unaccounted for loss of time
  • Unaccounted for use of contraceptives or ED meds

Polite Disengagement - Spouse is relatively happy with your relationship, but more in love with someone else, and he/she is considering leaving you.

A few possible warning signs:

  • Less excitement to see you

  • May seem reluctant to make future commitments
  • Noticeably polite and courteous
  • Less talk or sharing of feelings
  • Less passionate sex

Hostile Disengagement - Spouse is unhappy with your relationship, more in love with someone else, and he/she is considering leaving you.

A few possible warning signs:

  • More critical, hostile, and angry

  • May refuse to have sex
  • More conflict over money, finances
  • Refuses to make future commitments
  • Disinterest in things around the house

Confused Engagement - Spouse is equally in love with you and someone else and he/she does not know what to do.

A few possible warning signs:

  • Drastic mood swings

  • Exaggerated displays of affection followed by quiet periods
  • Sex may be more emotional and intense
  • May seem distracted, caught day dreaming
  • Sudden change in interests and habits

Feeling Trapped - Spouse is in love with someone else but feels that he/she cannot leave you.

A few possible warning signs:

  • May seem annoyed, frustrated

  • Does own thing with little concern or regard for you
  • Sudden need for space, privacy
  • Erratic changes in work schedule
  • May miss or cancel events planned with you

Again, it is helpful to point out that even these more targeted signs of cheating are not without their problems. Warning signs of cheating should not be confused with proof of infidelity.

Not so long a go it looked like gaming notebooks were only available from select manufacturers and they were generally built to order. The shipments were by no means really amazing but they did make increased mark up’s on each notebook than others. These desirable laptop computers were just unaffordable. They were like the highest grade of what could be done with laptop computer technology, the best laptop computers around. They would create a lot of excitement but I doubt loads of buyers would go out and buy laptop computers at high prices. Recently it looks likes larger manufacturers are all entering the market really quickly and things are shifting.

These are definitely big margin laptops for the global manufacturers and they are aware of that. Profits have been so slim lately that this is a fantastic chance to make more money on selling computers. Global Brands of that size know they can get buyers to buy laptop computers at any price providing they represent it well. Could this be the downfall of smaller resellers? In my view the big companies will dictate the market trends. Also the established brand name will give people greater confidence.

The laptop computers coming out are turning out to be the best laptop computers ever seen. This is in fact the main competitive edge that remains for the unestablished system builders. Choosing the specification is a thing all us geek’s like. Well versed in the technology, these types of buyers are savvy to what details to look for. For certain buyers specifications and statistics are more valuable than style.

This is all excellent from the customers way of seeing things. It will force prices to slip and make the latest technology inexpensive for the market. I think even industry insiders would have a hard time predicting where the market is going. Whether notebook prices will come down on the whole is an additional subject but the best laptop computers are normally expensive. Seeing as the large brand companies have already begun launching gaming laptop computers, I suppose we’ll have to wait to see what occurs.

I reckon this company (http://www.rizeon.com/gaming_laptops/page.php) are rather cheap for the notebooks they are offering.

To understand how surgical procedures aid the grossly overweight person to reduce their body fat, it helps to first understand the digestive process that is responsible for handling the food we take in.

Once food is chewed and swallowed, it’s on its way through the digestive tract, where enzymes and digestive juices will break it down and allow our systems to absorb the nutrients and calories. In the stomach, which can hold up to three pints of material, the breakdown continues with the help of strong acids. From there it moves into the duodenum, and the digestive process speeds up through the addition of bile and pancreatic juices. It’s here, that our body absorbs the majority of iron and calcium in the foods we eat. The final part of the digestive process takes place in the 20 feet of small intestine, the jejunum and the ileum, where calorie and nutrient absorption is completed, and any unused particles of food are then shunted into the large intestine for elimination.

Weight loss procedures involve bypassing, or in some way circumventing the full digestive process. They range from simple reduction of the amount you can eat, to major bypasses in the digestive tract. To qualify for many of these surgeries, a person must be termed “morbidly obese”, that is, weighing at least 100 lbs. over the appropriate weight for their height and general body structure.

Gastric Bypass

In the mid 1960s, Dr. Edward E. Mason discovered that women who had undergone partial stomach removal as the result of peptic ulcers, failed to gain weight afterwards. From this observation, grew the trial use of stapling across the top of the stomach, to reduce its actual capacity to about three tablespoons. The stomach filled quickly, and eventually emptied into the lower portion, completing the digestive process in the normal way. Over the years, the surgery evolved into what is now known as the Roux-en-y Gastric Bypass. Instead of partitioning the stomach, it is divided and separated from the rest, with staples. The small intestine is then cut at approximately 18″ below the stomach, and attached to the “new”, small stomach. Smaller meals are then eaten, and the digested food moves directly into the lower part of the bowel. As weight loss surgeries are viewed overall, this is considered one of the safest, offering long-term management of obesity.

Gastric Banding

A procedure that produces basically the same results as the stomach stapling/bypass, and is also classed as a “restrictive” surgery. The first operations, involved a non-flexing band placed around the upper part of the stomach, below the esophagus, creating an hourglass shaped stomach, the upper portion being reduced to the same 3-6 ounce capacity. As technologies advanced, the band became more flexible, incorporating an inflatable balloon, which when triggered by a reservoir placed in the abdomen, was capable of inflating to cut down the size of the stoma, or deflating to enlarge it. Laparoscopic surgery means smaller scars, and less invasion of the digestive tract.

Biliopancreatic Diversion

A combination of the gastric bypass, and Roux-en-y re-structuring, that bypasses a significant section of the small intestine, thereby creating the probability of malabsorption. The stomach is reduced in size, and an extended Roux-en-y anastomosis is attached to the smaller stomach, and lower down on the small intestine than is normal. This permits the patient to eat larger amounts, but still achieve weight loss through malabsorption. Professor Nicola Scopinaro, University of Genoa, Italy, developed the technique, and last year published the first long-term results. They showed an average 72% loss of excess body weight, maintained over 18 years, the best long-term results of any bariatric surgical procedure, to date. BPD patients require lifelong follow-ups to monitor calcium and vitamin intake. The advantages of being able to eat more and still lose weight, are countered by loose or foul smelling stools, flatus, stomal ulcers, and possible protein malnutrition.

Jejuno-Ileal Bypass

One of the first weight loss procedures for the grossly obese, was developed in the 1960s, a strictly malabsorptive method of reducing weight, and preventing gain. The jejuno-ileal bypass reduced the lower digestive tract to a mere 18″ of small intestine, from the natural 20 feet, a critical difference when it came to absorption of calories and nutrients. In the end-to-end method, the upper intestine was severed below the stomach, and re-attached to the small intestine much lower down, which had also been severed, thereby “cutting out”, the majority of the intestine. Malabsorption of carbohydrate, protein, lipids, minerals and vitamins, led to a variation, the end-to-side bypass, which took the end of the upper portion, and attached it to the side of the lower portion, without severing at that point. Reflux of bowel contents into the non-functioning upper portion of small bowel, resulted in more absorption of essential nutrients, but also less weight loss, and increased weight gain, post-surgery. As a result of the bypass, fatty acids are dumped in the colon, producing an irritation that causes water and electrolytes to flood the bowel, ending in chronic diarrhea. The bile salt pool necessary to keeping cholesterol in solution is reduced by malabsorption and loss through stool. As a consequence, cholesterol concentration in the gall bladder rises, increasing the risk of stones. Multiple vitamin losses are a major concern, and may result in bone thinning, pain and fractures. Approximately one third of patients experience an adjustment in the size and thickness of the remaining active small intestine, which increases the absorption of nutrients, and balances out the weight loss. However, over the long term, all patients undergoing this bypass are susceptible to hepatic cirrhosis. In the early 1980s, one study showed that approximately 20% of those who had undergone JIB, required conversion to another bypass alternative. The procedure has since been largely abandoned, as having too many risk factors.

While surgical methods of reducing weight are valuable to the morbidly obese, they are not without risks. Patients may require more bed rest post-surgery, resulting in an increased chance of blood clots. Pain may also cause reduced depth of breathing, and complications such as pneumonia.

Before undergoing any fat/weight reduction surgery, a severely overweight person needs to thoroughly understand the benefits and risks, and must make a commitment to their future health. Having a smaller stomach is not going to stop the chronic sugar-snacker, from “grazing” on high calorie sweets. Nor does a steady supply of pop, concentrated sweet juices and milk shakes, reduce the calorie intake. With some bypass surgeries, certain foods can aggravate side-effects that need not be that severe, if common sense diets are adhered to. Surgery can be a “shortcut” to weight loss, but it can also reduce your enjoyment of life, if you are unable to adhere to the regimens that go with it.

The next time you find yourself staring at a blank canvas, don’t get discouraged. Sometimes our minds need a little break from painting. I would like to share how I find inspiration for those unproductive moments.

Take a walk or drive to the country - Step outside and take a long walk. Get your blood circulating and energize your mind. Exercise and fresh air can do wonders when you are feeling down. I also like to hop in the car and take a drive out to the countryside. I always bring a sketchpad or notebook along with me. I find so much beauty and inspiration from nature.

Visit a museum or gallery - Just looking at other artwork is enough to get your creative juices flowing. I will map out a few local galleries and head out with a friend to see what beautiful art I can discover. If they allow you take photographs, take a few shots of any works that catch your eye and bring them back to your studio for inspiration.

Go to a bookstore - Visit your local bookstore, grab a cup of coffee, and browse through the art section. See what new information sparks your interest. I pick up anything from magazines to art history books.

Listen to some music - Grab a few of your favorite CD’s, a blank canvas, some of your favorite colors, and do some spontaneous painting. Don’t think but instead let the rhythm of the music lead your brush. You will be pleasantly surprised at what comes out.

Don’t be afraid to try different things - Oil paint is an incredibly versatile medium. Experiment with different oil painting techniques. Oil paint can be thinned to a watery consistency or brushed on with thick luscious strokes. Don’t limit yourself to only one style. Don’t worry about being wrong or following any rules. This is the perfect time to make mistakes as you are only experimenting and having fun.

When all else fails, say a prayer! Ask God, the one who blessed you with your creative gift, to lead your brush. He is the ultimate source of creativity. I bet he has some good ideas up his sleeve.

Would your child’s room benefit from some fresh design ideas and reorganization? Most could, but it can be hard to know where to begin and what concepts to use. Obviously, the age and personality of your child, not to mention your budget, will dictate much of the design concept. But where and how to begin? With these easy-to-follow tips, you will be ready to dive right in and decorate.

A room with a viewpoint

Every piece of furniture, wall-hanging and accessory in a child’s room contributes to an overall feeling conveyed by the room. A sports theme conveys excitement, while soft white clouds against a light blue sky add a relaxing, inspirational touch. Choose the design that is right for your child by having a conversation with each object and piece of furniture before you place it in the room, asking what it could contribute and where it would like to be placed. Ask the room what color it would like to be painted, or the walls what they would like hanging on them. Stay open-minded and you will realize the answer to each question is within you.

Give your child the room of his or her dreams - literally
Did you know that children sleep for up to sixteen hours a day and sometimes more, depending on their age? For child development, sleep is as vital for health and well-being as food. So your first consideration when designing your child’s bedroom should be to create a space that feels comfortable, warm and safe. Keep this in mind when planning to decorate, since creating an atmosphere where your child can sleep peacefully is more important than adapting the latest hot design trend.

Minimize distractions, maximize peace of mind

Messy, cluttered rooms add a subtle layer of stress to the inhabitant, and can inhibit proper relaxation. Keep your child’s room well-organized, with as few distractions as possible. Before you begin to decorate your child’s room, remove all furniture, toys, clothes, and wall-hangings. Clean the entire room, using natural cleaners that won’t irritate your child’s sensitive nostrils and lungs.

Color me beautiful

Paint can transform an ordinary room into a world of your child’s own. Color will influence how your child feels, so choose shades or combinations that promote relaxation, security, happiness and love. Green, blue, pink, pastel orange, and beige are all good choices. Let your child help pick the color, but stay away from bright reds and yellows which can be overly vibrant, making it hard for your child to relax, and from dreary grays, browns or black, which can be depressing and may affect your child’s mood. Paint should be freshened every two to four years, and should provide a nice backdrop for the rest of the room.

Bed sheets, blankets and bumpers should also be soothing to the eye, so steer clear of bright, dominant colors. Pastels of any color work fine here, as does plain white or cream. When it comes to room accents, you can be creative with colors. A child’s chair or step stool can be painted in bright primary colors, eliciting feelings of excitement, while a large soft teddy bear or rug can be light blue or pink, enveloping your child in comfort and love.

Clear that clutter!

Once the paint is dry, bring back in the bed. Place the bed in its ideal location, then one by one, fill out the room with the other furniture pieces (see Feng Shui Tips, below). If the room starts to look cluttered, do not feel you must fit in everything. Trade the chest of drawers for a closet organizer, wire or wood systems.

Clothes that no longer fit should be donated, passed to a friend in need, or stored in waterproof storage boxes in a garage or storage space, along with clothes that are out of season. (Make sure if you are storing these clothes to clearly mark the outside of the boxes for easy identification.) Limit toys and books to those the child makes use of daily and weekly. Give away unused toys, or store them in waterproof boxes in a garage or storage space. The more clothes and toys you get rid of, the more room you will have for future fashions and fun activities.

Feng Shui tips

You may have heard or read about Feng Shui, the ancient Chinese art of object and furniture placement. Feng Shui explains that each area of a room attracts a different type of energy from the other areas. Implementing Feng Shui in your child’s bedroom design can maximize the effectiveness of the furniture and art you are already planning to use. For example, Feng Shui teaches that a bed should be placed in the corner of the room farthest from the door. Your child’s head should be at the end of the bed where the door can be easily viewed, and there is no chance of getting startled by an unexpected visitor.

The northern section of your child’s room promotes stillness, so this would be an example of an ideal placement for the bed. The desk should be placed far from the door, in the Northeast part of the room if possible, since this is the Knowledge/Education Sector. This area is also a great place for educational posters, such as letters of the alphabet or a picture of Einstein. Select artwork carefully, taking time to notice any hidden messages. Each image gives off a specific vibration, so only choose the most positive pictures for the walls.

Of all the activities your child will do in his or her room - including grooming, relaxing, studying, and playing - in mind that sleep is most important and must be supported by the design of the room. Take your child’s personality into consideration, as well as his or her hobbies and special interests. Still, keep all décor in check so that it does not overwhelm or clutter the space. And finally, have fun! The energy, love and care you bring to this project will permeate every object’s placement, adding an invisible yet invaluable element to whatever design you choose to implement.

INTRODUCTION

Spiritual affirmations are positive, statements of intention, that facilitate manifestation. This particular Biblical Psalm used as spiritual affirmation both protects us and connects us with our Higher Faith, and therefore our Higher Destiny. It has been traditionally recited for thousands of years when one desires attaining a calm certainty during life’s challenging transitions.

To receive the greatest benefit, we allow a few minutes to calm ourselves down, centering ourselves and creating our own sacred space, before the recitation of the following affirmation.

Psalm 23 - Psalm of David

Traditional Translation

“The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for His Name’s sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me.”

Spiritual Translation when used as Affirmation:

“My Higher Power shepherds me.

In Its guidance and protection, I lack nothing.

In my place of rest among the green meadows, I find inner peace and tranquility.

I receive my guidance emanating from the still waters within.

My soul restoring itself, the cares of yesterday flow out with ease and all the burdens with them.

Releasing me unto the paths of righteousness (right-use-ness), I am aligned with, and guided by, the Higher Essence.

Even when I do walk in the valley of darkness and uncertainty, I fear no evil, for You my Source are always with me.”

We then conclude with the following:

I am aligned with the ancient message of this above Psalm. It is my belief. This governs my thinking today. Nothing can stop my Highest Good from coming to me, for my mind is rested in G-d. Peace fills my whole being. There is nothing to fear, for G-d is all there really is. I claim this Presence as my own. I trust in Its guidance and direction. All is well and all is good. I give thanks for another Great Day.

You’ve heard the popular advice on weight loss diets. Cut the
fat! Cut the carbs! Cut the calories! Eat a balanced diet! But
how can you cut though all of the confusion, and eat a diet
that’s balanced and healthy?

Here’s the advice from nutritional science:

Cut the JUNK fats: Most people do not need an ultra low fat
diet. But most of us could improve our diet by cutting out the
junk fats. Basically, these are the processed fats:
hydrogenated fats, polyunsaturated oils that have been heated,
and fats that are combined with junk carbs. Processed fats are
the fats most likely to put on flab and clog your arteries.

Cut the JUNK carbs. Most people do not need an ultra low carb
diet. But unfortunately, so many people who go on a low fat diet
continue to eat highly processed foods - they switch from
processed high-fat to processed low-fat. And when food
manufacturers create low fat foods, they tend to replace the fat
with junk carbs, that tend to pile on the pounds. Basically,
junk carbs are low-fiber carbs. Like sugar, fructose (and all
the other *oses), flour, cornstarch, fruit juice. Yes, fruit
juice is a junk carb too! - After all, how much fiber is there in
fruit juice? - Virtually none - its yet another junk carb. You
should eat the whole fruit instead, with its fiber intact.

Cut the JUNK calories. Most people do not need an ultra low
calorie diet. But just think what your diet would be like if you
dropped the processed fats and the low-fiber carbs. You’d be
eating mainly natural proteins, with lots of vegetables plus
whole fruits - and the odds are that you would be eating far
fewer calories as well. That’s the kind of calorie cutting most
of us should be doing.

Eat a balanced NATURAL-FOODS diet. By natural foods, we mean the
foods that would have been eaten by your hunter-gatherer
ancestors: - lots of whole vegetable foods for vitamins and
fiber; moderate to small portions of meats, fish, seafood, and
other animal and protein foods, grilled, stewed or baked; and
small portions of fresh whole fruit in season. This is the diet
on which the human race evolved, and the diet which, for the vast
majority of people, makes for optimum health

So the next time you’re about to order a meal with fries and
sugary soda, think about how it could be improved. Replace the
fries with a salad, and the soda with mineral water, and you’ve
already made significant progress towards a more healthy,
balanced meal.

And at home, look for recipes that use whole, fresh foods, with a
minimum of processing. Make sure your meals include natural
unprocessed foods, with lots of healthy vegetables, both cooked,
and raw in salads. Avoid processed fats and processed low-fiber
foods.

A sample menu:

- grilled fish with steamed green beans, and peppers

- large mixed salad, dressed with small amounts of olive oil and
vinegar or lemon juice

- fresh fruit platter

Yes - A healthy, balanced diet can be that simple!

An unusual way to obtain a cheap phone is by using a free line rental contract. 12 month free packages are still the greatest bargain above all the packages being sold at time of writing.

Accross the entire market the cheapest method of finding a free line rental phone contract is online. As free line rental deals are something of a niche package it makes sense to use a mobile phone comparison site to find the cheapest deals at the time.

In theory a 12 month free cell phone contract will not cost a cent to run. That is, as long as the consumer in question properly makes a claim for cashback by redemption. This may not nearly as easy as customers are told because mobile sellers introduce a number of sneaky pitfalls in the contract of free line rental packages in order to cut down the volume of successful consumers.

Free line rental offers are simply cashback by redemption offers where the total cost paid by the redemption part of the deal amounts to the total cost paid over the duration of the deal. With a free line rental cell phone contract you must continue to pay the cost of the phone as normal for the first months until the time comes to claim your your 100% refund. At a later point you have to remember to claim all of the costs of the mobile cellular phone back from the shop who first offered you the mobile cellular phone.

Putting aside the complicated nature of free line rental contracts they remain legitimate and consumers are able to find one hundred percent cost free phone for 12 months.

12 month free is unnavoidably going to be a trade off, because they are only made available with cheaper handsets. The biggest problem of free line rental offers is the fact that should the vendor go out of business you will be unable to redeem your 100% cash back.

Who should I contact to make that perfect night just a little better? We all have those occasions for which we just want the best. I know I look back on my wedding day, prom night, and anniversaries and think about how perfect I wanted those nights to be. There is one great addition to any day or night of celebration is a luxury ride that can only come from a limo. Very few of us would consider buying one, so renting is really the only option. A good limousine service will be able to provide you the luxury transportation that will make your special night perfect.

Your quest for the limousine service that will work best for you should be something you take seriously. Limousine selection and prices can vary greatly, and only be checking out several limousine services in your area can you find the right one for you. Start with your yellow pages either print version or online to find some phone numbers of local limo rental services. The second place to check would be on a search engine online. Many limousine services have websites that will give you a lot of information.

Once you have put together a list of limousine service phone numbers and or websites, it is time to start researching your options. Like most of us, you will probably want to check prices first. Most limousine services will charge you by either the hour, but others may go by the day or the mile. You may even find some that go by a combination of those pricing factors. Find out how each company charges and estimate how your charge will come out based on what you plan on doing.

The second factor that will affect both the price and your selection of a limousine service is what type of limo you rent. Today, there are any number of limos available for rent depending on where you go. You can find SUV limos, traditional town car limos, and even pickup truck limos. Each, as you can imagine, usually carries its own price tag, so once again that is something you will need to take into account when it comes to deciding on a limousine service.

Now that you are aware of the different types of limos available, and that each has its own price, you can begin figuring out what you want to rent. Aside from your budget, you should also consider practicality and fun of what you get. Think about how many people will be riding in the limo, where you will be going, what the weather is like, and who is going to be with you to decide what will work best. If you are in a warm weather climate or month, you might consider asking your limousine service if they offer a car with a convertible top or even one with a hot tub in the back. If you are with a group that enjoys off road vehicles, check to see if you can get an SUV limo. Just do your homework so that you can figure out what will work best for you.

If you are planning a special occasion or celebration, there is no reason not to take it to the next level. You can contact a limousine service to put that added luxury or fun touch on your night. Make sure you do your homework by finding out where the limousine services in your area are, what they charge, and what types of limos they have. Get those steps taken care of and you will be on your way to great night.
