Why Do People Pursue Being a Financial Planner?
Why do people pursue being a financial planner? It’s probably because being one can happen quickly and easily and the job as a financial planner is sustaining.
All that is needed to be done to become a financial planner is to get a Policy Statement 146 (RG146) in the form of a Diploma of Financial Planning. This diploma serves as your ticket to becoming known as a competent planner in the area of finance.
RG146 is also required by the ASIC or Australian Securities and Investments Commission before you can work as a financial planner. Getting one can be easy though. All that is required of you is to attend a course which lasts for about 8 days and go through an assessment by the end of the course. This course is offered by several registered educational providers and can either be done inside a classroom or via other means of distance communication if you opt for distance courses.
Assessments are done inside a classroom if you’ve chosen to personally attend classes. Assessments via fax and email are done however to those who opted for the distance course for the student’s ease and flexibility. These assessments prepare you to become a knowledgeable financial planner in the future.
