Steal My Deal

Usually, I eschew drama, but I didn’t always have Great Expectations for my dating life. I finally bottomed out, merely hours ago I ate a whole bag of Oreos. During my birthday party that comes from being alone, duh! Don’t judge me (j/k!). Am I crazy? Actually, that’s when I first considered joining a dating service in Dallas or Denver.

No problem. I’ll ease back into dating with Great Expectations Denver. That turned out to be my golden ticket. Here’s a story. After practically choking down some of grandma’s potato salad at my 40th birthday at Oak Park two weeks ago, Mom wanted to know if I have settled down with the love of my life. At first I didn’t know what to say to that. My response was, “what’s your deal, yo?”

No surprise that The Old Tooter (aka: grandpa) doesn’t know when to quit driving home about my personal matters. I said to the whole group: “Seriously, I manage, don’t I?”

Can you believe this? Each one of them scoffed. Quite promptly, I fell asleep that night so I could clear my head. Why can’t I stop thinking about this! Nothing was helping and I needed some damn help. Billy, who was a fellow Ram in high school (go Rams!) recommended that I mingle at singles events by Great Expectations. I said, “Yeah, maybe I should.” What a relief. I will never regret joining this dating service full of fun and desirable Great Expectations Dallas singles.

At the time, meeting new singles through dating services was new to me. I showed up already a little anxious, so much so that I got a little queasy. My emotional anxiety didn’t put an end to another incredible Great Expectations event. The evening was a happy hour not to forget. The one cool thing that really struck me were the many enjoyable people I met, all available singles.

I started going to these incredibley satisfying Great Expectations Denver singles events, I rubbed elbows with a collection of dynamite friends that obviously have similar ideas which made for a magnificent singles event. Don’t know why I ever let my family get on my back about living the bachelor’s life after all these years. Amazingly enough, dating right the Great Expectations way is my pleasure and a remarkably refreshing dating experience.
